2021 Tata Tigor EV launched in below 15 lakh

Tata Motors officially unveiled the Tata Tigor EV on Tuesday at prices ranging from 11.99 lakh to 13.14 lakh (in front of the showroom). The Tigor EV has been around for a long time and is mostly used by vehicle drivers, but the updated 2021 Tigor EV is for those looking for an affordable vehicle with a reasonable battery life range. The Tigor EV is currently the first electric vehicle tested by Global NCAP and has a 4-star safety rating.

Appearance

The stylish new Tigor EV is based on the standard Tigor facelift introduced earlier last year. It is very similar to the ICE version with a few key differences. The largest is a glossy black bezel with electrical blue accents, which replaces the traditional grille. The Tigor EV also has blue headlights and stylish new design 14-inch steel alloy wheels.

Compared to the X-Pres T, the new Tigor EV also features a redesigned fog lamp housing with projection headlights and LED daytime running lights integrated into the front bumper. The Tigor EV is available in two colour options: signature turquoise blue and day grey.

Interior and equipment

The interior layout is very similar to the standard Tigor. However, Tata has also added blue accents to the Tigor EV’s interior to make it stand out from its gasoline sibling. Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, iRA-connected automotive technology, 4 speakers and 4 tweeters, automatic weather control, and a digital instrument cluster. For safety reasons, the Tigor EV is equipped with dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, a rear parking camera, and a seat belt warning system. Tata has received 4 stars in the global NCAP rankings for Tigor EV.

Battery and Performance Details

The Tigor EV is equipped with a 26 kWh lithium-ion battery with an IP67 rating and an electric motor. The electric drive produces 73.75 hp. and 170 Nm of torque. Electric vehicle owners also receive an 8-year battery and 160,000 km warranty.

Electric vehicles use Ziptron technology to improve vehicle performance. The new Tigor EV accelerates from 0-60 km / h in 5.7 seconds. There are also two control modes: “Driving” and “Sports”.

Safety Features

The Tigor EV received a four-star safety rating in NCAP global crash tests through 2021. It also has dual airbags, ABS with EBD, cornering stability control, lift control, swing control, and other safety features.
