VinFast, the global electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer from Vietnam, has announced the launch of its largest Indian showroom in Chennai’s Teynampet district—a strategic milestone as the brand advances its technology-led ambitions in the rapidly evolving Indian EV market.
Covering a built-up area of 4,700 square feet, the Chennai facility signals VinFast’s first entry into Tamil Nadu and stands as the automaker’s second Indian showroom after its Gujarat debut. The new retail outlet will serve as a showcase for VinFast’s premium electric SUVs, the VF 6 and VF 7, featuring advanced infotainment systems, connected car technology, and robust battery management solutions designed for Indian road conditions.
“Chennai has emerged as a hub of automotive innovation and manufacturing excellence in India. By establishing our largest Indian footprint here, we are leveraging the city’s ecosystem, infrastructure, and skilled talent pool,” said Pham Sanh Chau, CEO, VinFast Asia. “Our collaboration with Maansarovar Motors and other partners aims to elevate the EV ownership experience for tech-savvy customers.”
VinFast’s aggressive roadmap includes the rollout of 35 showrooms in 27 cities nationwide by the end of the current year, reflecting a deep commitment to scaling up India’s EV adoption. To build a comprehensive EV service ecosystem, VinFast has partnered with RoadGrid, myTVS, and Global Assure, integrating charging infrastructure, after-sales support, and digital customer journeys across all showrooms.
Technology enthusiasts and prospective EV buyers can book the latest VinFast electric SUVs both at the Chennai facility and via the official website (VinFastAuto.in), with a fully refundable deposit of ₹21,000—an incentive aimed at reducing customer friction at the conversion stage.
