On May 4, 2022, Honda City hybrids will be available for purchase, with pricing to be announced

The e:HEV, which is based on the fifth-generation City, would only have a single ZX variation with minor aesthetic alterations. The blue outline on the Honda emblem, the tailgate-mounted e:HEV badge, new fog light garnishes, a modified diffuser design on the rear bumper, and a boot lid spoiler are among the other notable features.

  • The City hybrid will be available in a fully equipped ZX Sensing trim level.
  • It has a 109PS electric motor and a 1.5-liter petrol engine.
  • Modified bumpers and just a blue color on the Honda emblem are among the visual modifications.

The midsize sedan will also be available with active safety systems like as adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and autonomous emergency braking as part of the Honda Sensing Suite. It will also include six airbags, a new 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, a tire pressure monitoring system (TMPS), ambient lighting, an electric sunroof, and linked car technology such as Amazon Echo, Google Assistant, and smartwatches (iOS &Android).

A full-hybrid City e:HEV is powered by an Atkinson Cycle 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 126hp and 253Nm, which is connected to two electric motors. The first motor serves as a generator, while the second serves as a propeller.

The City e:HEV, with prioritizes efficiency, has a stated fuel economy number of 26.5kpl due to its preference for electric-only mode for start/stop traffic circumstances. The powerful hybrid powerplant will be coupled to an eCVT transmission and it will be powered by a battery pack housed in the trunk.
